MICROMINE joins the fun at Perth Nomads annual charity golf event

MICROMINE was the proud major sponsor of the Perth Nomads Golf Club recent annual Nomads charity golf day. The event took place on the 11th of November at Secret Harbour Golf Club with around 60 keen golfers participating in the 18-hole competition.

The Perth Nomads Golf Club is a social golf club established in 2013 that brings together men and women from all nationalities for their love of golf. They meet and play weekly at different courses around Perth.

Participants at the Nomads charity event played in an Ambrose format which was eventually won by the “West Team” comprising of Tim Leahy, Tom Atkinson, Brian Keay and Wes Roe. A long day of golf was followed by lunch where golfers dissected the days play over a few drinks.

Thanks to the support of MICROMINE and various other sponsors and players, the event managed to raise over $8000 for charity.

The charity for this year’s event is The Smith family. The Smith family is a children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australian children to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. The organisation’s learning support and mentoring programs help children in need to fit in at school, keep up with their peers, and build aspirations for a career pathway for life beyond school.
